I
emphasize on solid melodic themes with catchy tunes and
interesting chord variations. The target is to make the
melody worth remembering after the song is over. I try to
achieve a fresh musical approach to familiar, acceptable
patterns. I want to believe that I have my own personal
musical style, with influences from the songs of Walter Afanasieff and Diane Warren.
My effort in lyrics is to keep them simple and direct, but not
simplistic. I always try to rhyme as much as possible - it's
important if you want to make your songs memorable. My lyrics'
model is John Lennon.
I perform both the lead voice and the supporting vocals. I
try to balance my performance style to make it both sensitive and
dynamic. I have influences from Mariah Carey and Christina
Aguilera.
I make my own mixes in my computer-based home studio. The inputs
are keyboard and microphone, so all the instruments are
simulated. I am very good at the keyboard, so I play all the
tracks myself. The lead organs are classical and electronic
piano, B3, and guitars, with supporting bass, synths, and drums.
I try to make the end result sound as good as possible, given
the existing hardware (high-end P4 PC, Terratec DMX6 Fire sound
card, MK-249C Evolution keyboard, Shure SM-58 microphone, Tannoy
Reveal 6 monitors).
